Bamboo flooring comes in both engineered bamboo, compressed bamboo and strand woven bamboo. It is a pre- finished product available in different colours and designs in both a locking system and tongue and groove system. Bamboo floors can be installed as floating floors or in a direct stick system provided the correct procedures are followed. The range of colours and textures are manufactured using different drying and staining processes to achieve a desired factory finish.

The products are generally 14mm in thickness and are one of the hardest and most solid flooring products on the market. Bamboo is manufactured in China and is one of natures most rapidly renewable resources. Bamboo grows into a mature tree ready to harvest approximately every 6 years. Most products have environmental certification from FSC (Forrest Stewardship Council). Bamboo flooring can be made using both cold press and hot press techniques.
